Spiritual Growth Centre

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board in its constant endeavor of expansion and for adding spiritual dimensions to the pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji as well as for providing more facilities to the pilgrims visiting the Holy Shrine, has decided to setup a Spiritual Growth Center at Katra. The foundation stone of the Center was laid down by His Excellency Sh. G.C. Saxena, the Governor of J&K State, (Chairman, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Board). Theproject is likely to cost Rs.500 Lacs and shall be spread over the 32 Kanals of land opposite to the Central Office of the Shrine Board at Katra. The work on the project is likely to start shortly and shall be completed within a period of two years. The salient features of the project are as follows:-

	An Amphitheatre.
	An Auditorium
	A Meditation Hall
	Yoga center
	An Exhibition and Display Hall
	A Shopping Arcade
	A Theme Museum
	A world class library having books on religion, philosophy and spiritual studies
	Accommodation facility for visitors and spiritual leaders.

The religious discourses and various other courses on Spiritual Growth and meditation shall be held periodically and renowned Spiritual leaders shall be invited for imparting the same. The various programme schedules for the Spiritual Growth Centre shall be devised and pilgrims shall have the option to choose from a lit of courses they want to attend. The bookings for attending the various courses to be held from time to time shall be done in advance on First Come First Serve basis. The pilgrims attending the courses will get the opportunity to interact with renowned Spiritual heads and religious scholars as well as deriving benefit of religious discourses and cultural performances.

The Spiritual Growth Center is envisaged to be one of its kind in the whole country and shall add a new dimension towards the Yatra to the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji.

The Management Committee of the Spiritual Growth Center shall comprise of the Donor Members who choose to opt for the membership under this project, besides representatives from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. The Management Committee shall be decision making authority and shall hold its General meetings periodically.

The ownership of the assets so constructed with the help of Donations shall however, lie solely with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

Membership:

Memberships are invited from interested Donors to participate in this project by making donation contributions. A donation amount of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lacs Only) will have to be deposited for becoming a member under this project. The time period for depositing the amount shall be two years. An amount of Rs.21,000/- shall have to be deposited at the time of registration, which shall be adjusted as part of the total amount to be deposited by the Donor. A total of 100 memberships are open to Donors under this scheme. The donation amount can be deposited in the form of Cash, Demand Drafts or Cheques. The instrument of payment is to be made in favour of " Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra" and is to be sent on the following address:

Donors interested to enroll themselves as a member under this donation scheme are required to fill up the membership form and to deposit an initial registration amount of Rs.21,000/- (Rupees Twenty One Thousand Only). The balance amount can be deposited in installments within a period of two years. On receiving the registration form along with the required amount, the Donor shall be issued a registration number and a formal letter of approval, thus confirming his/ her membership under this scheme of donation.

"Kindly note that all Donations made to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board., Katra qualify for exemption under Section 80-G of Income Tax Act, 1961."

Privileges to Members:

The members who enroll themselves under this scheme of Donation shall become registered Donors of the Shrine Board. On completion of the donation scheme, they shall be issued Donors Identity Card which shall entitle them the following privileges:-

	Life membership of Spiritual Growth Center.
	Special membership of Library functionalities with a facility to sponsor 20 life memberships for the library.
	Free availability of Amphitheatre (for 20 days) and auditorium (for10 days) for religious purposes in a calendar year.
	Free accommodation facility at Spiritual Growth Center/ Niharika complex for one family (maximum 10 persons) for Ten days in a year.
	Facility to attend various courses and seminars conducted at the center.
	Members can also sponsor any eminent religious leader, person or group for fre stay at Spiritual Growth Center (maximum 5 days) in a calendar year.
	Members shall be given preference for attending religious discourses by religious leaders to be held periodically at the center.

The members shall elect a Secretary amongst themselves and participate in the working and planning of activities of Spiritual Growth Centre by attending General Body meetings to be held periodically. Click here to Register.
