Tour
& Travel Operators...
For the Convenience of the Yatries, various
private Tour Operators and Travel Agents offer their services
and organize tours to places in and around Katra, Jammu, Srinagar
or even other locations. Some of the common locations are
Shiv Khori, Patnitop, Kud, Mansar, Sanasar, Char Devis (Four
Devis), and also various destinations outside the state including
Himachal Pradesh. Yatries can look up the details of some
of these destinations in the section on Places
of Interest.
The tourism department of the Jammu and Kashmir government
has offices both in Katra and Jammu. There is also a Tourist
Reception Centre at Jammu. All these offices can be contacted
for further details. The tourism department and the JKTDC
(Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation also organize
package tours on some of the above routes.
Yatries are requested to note that none of these travel
or tour operators are being run, organised or advertised by
the Shrine Board. All these Tour and Travel Agencies are privately
run (or by the government or its corporations) and therfore,
Shrine Board takes no responsibility regarding the services
or the charges offered by them. The Yatries may satisfy themselves
about the service and conditions of these parities before
entering into any agreement with them.
